Cape Cod's Massive Chocolate Easter Egg
By: Cape Cod Pulse Staff, April 12, 2017
What would you do with an 11-pound chocolate Easter egg? If you have an answer, we at Cape Cod Pulse want to know because Slice of Italy in Falmouth is raffling one off.
The gigantic egg sits in the rear of the restaurant, perched atop its deli case. For $4 per ticket, the monster can be yours. Slice of Italy is donating proceeds from the raffle to Wounded Warriors. The raffle is running through tomorrow with the winning ticket announced either Friday or Saturday. advertisement
If you win, not only will you be able to take home the egg, but a bottle of not-so-big olive oil.
While the egg is pretty hefty, it is dwarfed by one that was baked in Argentina in 2012 that weighed in at a reported 8,800 pounds and measured 27-feet tall and 16-feet wide.
That’s a lot of chocolate. But so is 11 pounds worth of chocolate. That’s why we want to talk to the winner to find out what you’ll be doing with this behemoth.
