Summer is an ideal time to get outside on the Cape and explore the area’s natural beauty. In Brewster, the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is providing a little incentive to do just that thanks to its Birdwatching for Beginners classes that provide the public with the basics needed to identify the creatures through sight and sound.
The museum is offering two sessions - Thursday, July 14 at 10 am and Thursday, August 18 at 10 am - that are free with admission into the museum. Led by bird expert Gretchen Moran Towers, they will begin with a brief presentation after which participants will venture outdoors to view birds in their natural habitat. There will also be a discussion that includes tips for how to continue birdwatching in your own yard.
The classes are suitable for both children and adults, and ideal for families. For more information, contact the museum at 508-896-3867, ext. 133.
